It all started in early 2025, Nate began with one simple goal: to learn the craft of brewing from the ground up. Like many new brewers, he started with a single can of malt extract—an easy introduction to fermentation. The result, while technically beer, lacked the depth, character, flavour and craftsmanship he knew he wanted to stand for.
That first batch taught Nate something important: good beer isn’t made through shortcuts.
From that moment forward, he committed fully to all-grain brewing. No extract kits would be opened again. No compromises. Just real ingredients, intentional processes, and complete control over every element of the brew. Grain by grain, hop by hop, you tube video after you tube video, Nate discovered the possibilities that only traditional, hands-on brewing can offer.
Today, 2 Ducks is built on that same belief--
If it’s worth brewing, it’s worth brewing properly.
Nate takes pride in crafting beers with authenticity, balance, and creativity, guided by respect for the brewing tradition and excitement for what’s possible. What started as a simple experiment has grown into a brewing philosophy:

Why 2 Ducks Brewing? - because every morning around sunrise Nate would go for a run — and always be greeted by two ducks. Just two calm, curious observers of the waking world.
That simple greeting stuck. It reminded us that brewing isn’t about flash or hype — it’s about rhythm, patience and respect for the small things. So with that, he named the brewery after those two ducks, and built the vibe around them.
Our beers are crafted with that same easygoing, thoughtful spirit. No fuss. No stress. Just honest beer, brewed the way we like it.
